I typically use a 9 inch circular needle to knit my socks. But I already had socks on those needles so I decided to go old school and use my DPN‘s. I taught myself how to knit socks on DPN‘s many years ago so it’s a little bit nostalgic. I tend to knit a bit tighter on DPN‘s. I also usually knit the large size with Helen‘s patterns. But I found lace socks tend to get looser on my feet overtime. So I’m hoping by making the medium and on DPN‘s it will not be too small but also will not fall off my feet in a couple wearings.

I’m also going old school by reading an actual book while making these socks. Not an E reader. Not my Kindle. But an actual paper book.

There is a K4tog stitch in the pattern that is really rough on my hands and my needles. Especially because I knit so tightly it’s a very difficult stitch to manage. But I found a great video that gives an alternate technique to the stitch which has saved me!

There are 165 rows per sock. So 330 rows total.

There are 35 days until the next pattern drops.

If I knit at least 10 rows per day I will finish before the next pattern drop.
