Notes

This was originally designed by Karin Ivarsson in 1966 for Bohus Stickning. It was recreated by Pernille Silfverberg, AngoraGarnet, in 2018.

This is a most unusual design to knit as the increases are very specific both in placement and kind.

I have run short of one color (BS#211) but since I have a spare skein of this color, Pernille agreed that it would be helpful to measure the extra needed and let her know so that she can adjust the kits for other knitters. I have a bit more knitting before I will know the answer.

Started first sleeve.

First sleeve finished with traditional ribbing at cuff. I was tempted to work a “bracelet” of color at the cuff since I have extra yarn of certain colors to play with but decided against it so the yoke would remain the focus of attention.
Second sleeve is about halfway done now too.

Second sleeve finished. Back to the remaining body knitting of ribbing. Of all the knitting in this piece, this ribbing feels like the most daunting of all.

Finished lower ribbing and sewn kitchener bind off. Now to soak and block.
Finished garment weighs 279 grams which seems a little light compared to some of my other Bohus yokes.
