This design is so adorable. The wool/linen yarn is wonderful to have for the just arriving Fall season, and actually for all seasons. I am so happy with it and with how the wool/linen gives the piece structure, warmth and lightness at the same time.

I’m knitting the contrasting colour in soft coral linen laceweight yarn double stranded and the main colour is natur dk wool linen. Cast on with 260 stitches.

Seperate front and back.
I cut the yarn once for the contrasting colour for the back part. I’m carrying the yarn forward now but without attaching seperate skeins using the method I found by cottonandcloud who has a very helpful youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nt1r4KmkPZ8

What I noticed is that if the contrasting colour stripe row is a purl row then the rows continue chronologically - that is knit, purl, knit for the main colour as the main colour is on already on that side. However if the contrasting colour stripe row is a knit row, then the next main colour stripe row is also a knit row, as the yarn for the main colour is on the other side. It works out well and looks fine.
