I have enjoyed the design process as much as the knitting. I put together a test run (which I am very glad I did, considering I majorly screwed up the placement of the transition pattern), and it has been instrumental. Once blocked, I pinned it to a futon cushion and have been having a grand old time using pins to pick out various patterns for bead additions. Another useful lesson learned: I am going to need a lot more beads.
