I’ve been wanting one of these cakes since I first saw them. Something about them makes me want to curl up in a cosy place with a big mug of tea and an audiobook and go into knitting hibernation. So I will use this beautiful skein for a shawl made with an adaptation of gannet’s Hibernate lace.

After initial doubts about which end to start, and a 2 week hiatus of indecision, project resumed.

Started transition chart w 60g remaining, and it’s looking like I should have started the edging one repeat earlier.

Frogged back to start at 66g rem.
33g rem after end row 15 edging. (Plus 8 transition rows =(23 rows)
23g rem after row 1, 2nd repeat. (6 rows)
20g rem after row 3
12g rem after row 7
BO row 8. 8g remaining (even with picots) so could probably have got through row 9 and BO r10.
