Working on the next series using the same concept as Atlantis for a bit of fun.
The Otherwhere Adventure series all include -
-
Optional plain section to begin, with options to start either large of small lace at a number of points.
-
Start with either the large or small lace.
-
Options to switch back and forth between the large and small patterns at numerous points.
-
And there are beads if you want them.
Fun!
I realise I ought to be coming up with sweet, crowd pleasing concepts like flowers, hearts and friendship, but I seem to be compelled to follow my interests, so instead we have an odd mix of ancient civilisations, myths, and bad puns.. Sorry! :)
Phew! Blocking at last!
1 repeat of chart 3
3 repeats of chart 2
3 repeats of chart 3
BO on r8 of chart 2, really really really loosely (with picots which I opted to mostly ignore during blocking..)
Beads on the chart 2 section for this sample.
Measures 175 x 40 cm
Used 59g which work out to about 275m (320y) for this number of repeats. Yardage is totally adaptable however, as you can choose any number of repeats.
4mm needles for the large lace, and 4.5 for the small. I knit very loosely. I recommend increasing a size for the last 20 rows or so, to give the edge extra flexibility.
Help! I can’t stop taking photos of this yarn!! I’m supposed to be knitting it.
