modifications: in the round, picked up stitches as much as possible rather than seaming

new techniques: raglan construction, lace edging

im at the feet, but since the legs were picked up from the bottom of the body ill have to reverse the direction of the feet. i think i also want to have socks and removable shoes, so i wont be doing the mary jane shoe strap. heres my instructions for the legs/feet in magic loop:

  1. pick up 16 st from the body, knit leg
  2. knit center front 6 st for 10 rows stockinette (no switching colors)
  3. knit across 11th row, pick up 11 st from left side of strip, knit across back 8 st, pick up 11 from other side of strip
  4. rearrange everything so there are 17 st on each side of the magic loop, with one loop at the toe and the other at the heel
  5. knit half a round so that bor is now at the heel loop (i dont think this was really necessary, you can switch the order of 6 and 8 and start at the toe)
  6. k3, ssk x6, k4, k2tog x6, k3
  7. knit
  8. k2, ssk x4, k2, k2tog x4, k2
  9. knit
  10. draw up rem stitches

note: im not very good at writing crochet patterns

  1. sc a strip to that fits between the ears, preferably slightly shorter than the length of this gap
  2. ch enough to go around one ear, remember how many chains that is
  3. sc across one end of the strip
  4. ch enough to go around other ear (should be the same number as the last chain)
  5. sc across other end of strip
  6. sc around, going under the chains when you get there
  7. sc around, inc 3 times in the short ends of the oval
  8. sc around
  9. sc around, in the short ends of the oval (inc 1 sc) 3 times
  10. sc around
  11. repeat 8 and 9, stopping before it reaches the eyes when put on
  12. sc around in front loop only. in the future might want to start brim increases here
  13. divide the sts at this point into 8 even parts, sc around, inc 1 in each part
  14. repeat 13 to width of brim, make sure to stagger incs to avoid corners

clovers and flowers are from this pattern, i changed the sc to slip stitch, and for the flowers added an extra repeat
