Notes

Following Stephanie Pearl-McPhee’s KAL on Patreon. Cast on 182. Probably going to be about 34-36 inches around, so it may be more of a scarf than a cowl. 91 stitches to get to the repeat of the colorway.

Three starts before it started looking good. Now I’m happy with the way it is looking!

2020-12-19 - Ended up with 196 stitches after 2 false starts, the 3rd was the charm. I’m really happy with the way this ended up, but it was a challenge to get it set up. I ended up with about a 38” circumference.

2020-12-20

I was very happy with the color fastness of the blue. It did not bleed much at all and looks like the color won’t fade out!

2021-03-07

Made 2nd cowl with California Quail yarn as a shop sample for Yesterday’s Ewes. This one was 3 repeats of the colors and was about 28-30 inches around.

2021-09-14

#3 color stacking cowl

Cast on 142 stitches for three repeats of the color sequence. Used crochet cast on for provisional cast on.

2021-09-27

Finished Arctic Puffin cowl on 9/26/2021. This time was the charm. I only started this one once!
