I like this pattern, but other than initially telling you where to place the markers, it doesn’t mention them again. Deal is, slip the markers so that there are 5 border stitches on each side & one stitch in the middle. That’s not obvious at the set up stage, but becomes so as the piece evolves.

I had to count stitches on rows 2 & 3 to keep on track, but otherwise a very simple pattern. I did 7 pattern repeats & had 73 stitches on each side before binding off. I was going to put I-cord ties on, but might opt for ribbon instead.

I like it a lot!
