For this, ‘make it my way’ version, I did increases on each side of the center stitch, plus edge increases.

I started with an I-cord CO (https://nimble-needles.com/stitches/how-to-knit-the-i-cor...)
to get 7 stitches, using the alternate method. I purled those 7 stitches.

For RS rows:
Slip 2, KFB, knit to center marker, M1R, SM, K1, SM, M1L, knit to 3rd stitch from the end, KFB, K2.

WS rows:
Slip 2, P across.

I liked how this yarn striped across the whole bandana on the last one I made, but having the center point just makes it too busy. Frog & move on…
