I did 8 rounds in pattern & decided this yarn is so busy that it might look better with more knit than purl stitches. Started over with K3, P1 & I like it much better. I did 19 rounds in pattern, then started gusset increases with a KFB, K1, KFB. I repeated the increases on the thumb edges every 3rd round until I had 13 stitches, then did one more round. I then BO on the next round, leaving the last BO stitch & KFB into it; KFB into the next stitch to get back to 36 stitches. Before starting round 3, I picked up one stitch below from each edge, put them on the left needle & knit them together with the first stitch. I did 14 more rounds in pattern after the BO round. (I could have done a few more rounds after the thumb.)
