CO 54 stitches & did 10 rounds of garter (2”). I did 3” of SS, then started decreases. I did two even rounds after the first set of decreases, a few K2, K2tog, separated by one even round, then one round of K1, K2tog, then 3 rounds of K2tog.

For the earflaps, I counted 6 stitches over from the BOR, then picked up & knit 12 stitches. I slipped each first stitch WYIF. I did 4 rows even, then reset counter & followed decreases until row 10, when I started double decreases. It took me 15 rows to get down to 3 stitches. I made the I-cords about 8” long.
