This thing is a real yarn-eater by the end. Wasn’t sure I was going to like my totally random, use-up-bits-and-pieces color scheme (even to call it a scheme, versus “random messiness” makes it sound way too planned), but I do. Flipping the light and dark sides nearish to the end made all the difference; made each collection of colors that existed on each side pop in a nicer way than they had up til then.

The pictures are terrible (terrible lighting; for instance, you can’t at all tell that the wide paler stripe in the bottom picture is actually a lovely pale blue); in real life this thing is gorgeous - I get why Mr. Stephen West has covered his world in brioche. I’ll try to get outside with it, take pictures in the sun; the play of colors and textures (some wool is roughish and matte, the silk-bamboo shines and shines, the regular-Joe wool is nicely soft) is fantastic. Woot!
