Notes

Simple 13-stitch ribbed scarf. Ridiculously long and bulky. I bought a bag of ruffle yarn from the Fashion Plus Mill End racks at Joann, wanting to see what would happen if I knit it as a regular (super mega bulky) yarn, rather than letting it ruffle. What happens is that you get giant stitches (1 stitch=1 inch, pretty much) and a whole lot of wear and tear on your forearms. OUCH. I should have used super-mondo needles, like 35’s (I think my big-ass straights are 35’s, but I’m not sure) but they’re soooooooo unwieldy (also, I hate straight needles; talk about adding arm pain to arm pain), so I used the biggest circulars I have. I don’t know how people knit with giant needles on a regular basis. Giant yarn and needles suck and the arm pain sucks even more.

Giant needles sucks. I’m a’goin’ back to fingering, thank you very much.
