Front and back has been seamed together.

Starting the arms (TAAT), and I think will be way too wide for my skinny arms. I’ll be using the directions for the slimmer sleeves and I’ll see what happens.

June 19, 2022

I cast on 49 sts for the sleeve cuff because the pattern was going to give me a really wide sleeve. I’m making this for ME and I want it to look like it’s actually supposed to fit me and not a larger armed man.

BUT. I. CAN’T. FIGURE. OUT where the increases for the cables are supposed to go or how they work into the cables. I’ve drawn it out about 6 times tonight and I it boggling me. With any luck tomorrow will be a slow day at work and I can use Excel because I can’t do this in pencil on paper.

June 20, 2022

Okay! I had spare time this morning at work and charted the sleeve increases after the ribbing because I just couldn’t figure out where they should be on my modified sleeve.

I then removed the cable sections that I don’t need at the wrist (which I plan on adding as I go up the arm), and was finally able to understand how and where the increases need to be so that they flow nicely into the cables.

I had to change my cuff from 49 sts to 51. 2 stitches wider is no big deal. The row before the cables increases to 58 sts. With more to come as I progress up the arm.

June 26, 2022

Trying the sleeves again. This time casting on 61 sts as 51 made the cuff too snug.

July 9, 2022

Picked up 128 sts for the neck. Will do a tubular sewn bind off (once I figure out how).

I have 1 inch left to do for the arms.

July 11, 2022

Almost done! All that’s left is to seam the sleeves onto the body, bind off the neck and weave in all then ends.

September 10, 2022

I put this in Time-Out for a month because I attached an arm off centre and got mad at it and myself. I picked this back up today, attached BOTH arms, and bound off the neck with a tubular bind off (which is quite fiddly).

Glad to finally be done this beast.
