Done with the first clue. Don’t think I can finish all 8 sections by Friday, but have a good chance of making 6. Working on brioche now, so much more fun than garter stitch! Although I really like how all those different textures (and colours, of course) are playing together. Still have to decide on which size to make. I’m thinking medium, but we’ll see.

Clue 2 is finished, clue 3 in progress. Decided to go with medium size: OCD part of me likes it being the most symmetrical one, practical part figured it will be big enough without extra section. Now thinking of adding tassels to those floppy edges.

Done knitting & blocking, only have to weave in those pesky ends and take proper pics.
Measurements after blocking: 276 cm wingspan, 61 cm deep. Huge! And that’s medium size.
This was fun to knit! And definitely helped me getting a bit out of my comfort zone with colours, plus this pattern includes a couple things I don’t do often (brioche, i-cord cast on & bind off, colour blocking), so it was also nice to refresh those techniques while working on overall fairly simple pattern. Not sure if I want to knit another shawl any time soon but certainly going to look at other Stephen’s patterns when I’m in a shawl knitting mood again!
