Way back in a time long, long ago, my sister, my brother and I played in the Norwegian Small Guard. I played clarinet, my sister played flute & my brother played trumpet. It was a really special time. Sadly, they passed before me. When I saw this yarn, I just had to have it. I think this pattern will work out.

MODS: I plan to use as much of the yarn as I can for each section. If it works out, it will be a crazy large shawl.

8/28/17 Finished the 1st section using the Clarinet colors. Looks pretty good so far. The next section is garter stripes. I’m not sure how I want to do that as there are 5 colors.

8/31/17 And I’m cranking away on the Mega-Hello Hello shawl. Like how the garter stripes are turning out so far. The plan is to keep striping until I’ve used up all of the Flute colors and one of the Trumpet colors. Then, for the remaining Trumpet colors, I will knit those in blocks of color. This will either be super awesome or unfortunate. We’ll see how it goes.

12/19/17 Almost done with the garter stripe section.

1/5/18 Garter stripe section complete. Working on color block section. Starting off with pale pink.

1/17/18 And the knitting is done. Still need to wash & block.

For SYS 2018 purposes, only 500 yards counts. Only have 1 gram of yarn left which equals 5.3 yards.
