Long story…….Betsy Johann was purchased by my Mom’s dear friend for her granddaughter. That young girl wanted a doll that looked more like her….brown eyes and hair. When my Mom learned that this doll was going to be returned and exchanged and learned her name, she offered to buy it. You see my Mom’s name is Johann and my BF is Betsy. So this doll was tucked away for years (I have 3 sons) until my granddaughter was born. My granddaughters played with BJ but she always remained with me. I think she needs a new dress and I need something to make that’s for me.

Started with 6mm and felt the stitches were too loose ( and I’m working with small amounts of scraps ). So I reduced to 5.5mm and beginning chain of 15.

Probably could have reduced the skirt stitches but dress fits. I only did 8 rows for the straps and finished the dress with 3 dc in st, sk st, sc, sk st, continue.
