20/07/14 This is a pattern for advanced crocheters ONLY. And I was warned before buying the pattern but was desperate on having a pair of these…
I’m not sure how the circles are joined?
There are charts on how the legs are crocheted but I don’t understand a bit.
Puzzled completely. Shall continue doing the circles until I figure something out…
21/07/14 figured out. started making the circles and joining as I go. Curious about the results…
The pattern calls now for half circles (no chart for that and a dummy needs one) or ‘make whole circles and then cut them…’ omg! What is that? How to? When to? I want those shorts.
The back diagram shows how the circle are joined but not completely beause the crocheter is supposed to know such thing.
An experienced crocheter…
Oh my…
What a mess (in my head)
Heeelp
22/07/14 joined the front and back circles and half circles (improvised a lot) and a mistake appeared at the very back of the shorts. Uf
28/07/14 managed to make the first part -front and back with lots of tears and unravelling. Finally started the pineapple motif and the legs. Again, mainly improvising, trying, unravelling and then starting again. At this point tried the shorts on and they fit fantastic. I knew it was worth trying although at some points I was desperate. I’m still not finished though…
28/07/14 Shorts are over! One leg has 14 motifs the other 15????
I’m tired of this project. NOT unravelling AGAIN. Just recently unravelled the picot edges and the longer motifs because the shorts fit way better without these.
Despite the difficulties that occured every now and then these shorts fit fantastic! I added 5 rows of dc for the band, tomorrow attaching the elastic, taking-sending photos and game over.
Phew
29/07/14 last night unravelled again. Made the points of motifs. Finished at 3 a.m. my sister is thrilled with the results and wants a pair of her own. For all the money in the world NO.
