19/03/2018

I am a lucky mum as I got the wool for this project for Mothers Day. I have just had to wait for the needles to arrive. I am making the Medium version but I am thinking of making it slightly longer. I will decided as I knit it.

Achieved knitting the rib section for the back. 14 rows before decreases

I am now 18 rows/3 repeats of the pattern done. Quick knitting

20-03-2018

Got to 25cm and first decrease was done after 6 repeats (row 30) of main pattern

24-03-2018

Got to the first increase mark on the back - 15 repeats of pattern (row 90) Just realised I misread the length - instead of 48cm it is 50cm - Whoops

01-04-2018

60cm = 19 pattern repeats

02-04-2018

Shape neck and shoulders 25 repeats and 2 rows.

Finished Back today!!!

5-04-2018

On a long car journey so have started the 2 front pieces. I am knitting them at the same time so then I have all the decisions at the same time and they will look the same. Got all the ribbing and first decrease done on the journey up

8-04-2018

Done the 6 pattern repeats over the last few days and got to the place for the first decrease in pattern work but the trip home wasn’t as fruitful as going up as I felt car sick

15-04-2018

First chance to pick up project as I have concentrated on other projects. Just finished 9 repeats and I have made another decrease during pattern repeat 8

19-04-2018

AAAAHHHHH! Just realised that I have been doing the shape neck all wrong. I missed it saying to decrease every 4 then 6 rows repeated instead I did every 4 rows 6 times and then 6 rows and had too many stitches left over and a very quick decrease. So have to frog back :-(

22-04-2018

Ripped back to first increase and have got the front decreases correct this time. Have finished the fronts.
Cast on 50 stitches for sleeves. They seem huge. I have very skinny wrists and they seem huge so I am planning to rip back and just cast on 42 stitches and decrease to 41 for the sleeves.

30-04-2018

Started the cuffs again today. cast on 42 stitches - still huge but liveable. Decreased to 41 with centre purl rib where I decreased. Now started on the sleeve pattern

25-07-2018

Have been on a little hiatus as I hate sewing things together. Have sewn fronts and backs together today

26-07-2018

Have picked up and knitted the button band today. It took just over 1 skein. Now to move onto setting in sleeves

05-08-2018

Had a day of sitting down to set in the sleeves, weave in ends and sew on the buttons. I hate doing all this but it is finally FINISHED!

Notes for next time.
I am going to knit front and back pieces together to eliminate the seaming up the side.
