2 balls of almost matching Color changing cotton..
Lights - 6 ply, 320 yds, 105 gr
Lemonade 2 - 4 ply. 480 yards, 100 gr

destined for the kitchen any way I looked at them… but now that I am weaving, I SPLIT them in to MESSY 2 ply balls..

as of now (3/22) I have measured them into 8 yard warp stripes… I am treating the 2 plies as one end.. and “shooting for” kitchen towels.. supplementing THESE stripes with 10/2 coned yarns in white and a dark-dark.

more as I do the math..
stripes = 72 ends of 10/2. sett of 32
in a 16 dpi reed.
threading heddles and reed will be holding the doubled threads… so .. <del> this should feel more like a 5/2 cotton.. <del>

darn math!!!
the math proves that the double strands of the yellow are HALF the size of double strands of the 10/2
result is that this cloth will be lighter than a 10/2 cloth.

the colors are basketweave and the twill is white.

What a difference the weft makes… HATED the white weft and dreaded to approach the loom… threw caution to the wind and just began to use up 10/2 bobbins.

each color bobbin was flat and boring.. so went off the proverbial “deep” end and began some random/regimented stripes.. I LOVE THIS!!!
