My friend is a doctor and she’s headed off to spend four months in the sort of place you would not choose for a holiday. I think she’s amazing and brave to do this and I wanted to do something for her to recognise her incredibly altruistic act. Not sure that a scruffily pom-pommed hat would be anyone’s idea of a suitable reward, but then again, what is?

I used leftover yarn from Matt’s scarf link text so it wasn’t really three skeins, though I did run out of the light blue so I used the pom-pom colour to knit the last bit of hat.

I hope it keeps her warm and safe.
