Notes

Son has new job as a tour guide down The Blue John Mine in Castleton, Derbyshire. It gets a bit chilly down there so he needed some hats for the coming winter.
When I saw this it seemed ideal.
I used the smaller hook for the ribbing, and the bigger hook for the body which gave enough stretch - using a cotton based yarn meant that there was less give than in a pure merino. I joined my rounds which meant that the linen stitch worked up quite tight, hence the bigger hook. I gather that if you crochet in spirals it has a lot more give.
I’m really pleased with the bit of slouch that we achieved with this combo.
As usual with Little Bee patterns, it was thoroughly tested and beautifully written.
Love it, and so does Jack - though he was a bit reluctant to have his photo taken (you can probably tell he was a bit hungover!!)
