Made this at the request of my nephew for his partner for Christmas.
Made using 2 strands of Aran crochet together. I was doubtful, but it really looks like scales ❤️
The pattern was quick and easy. Made it during evenings over a week while watching tele.
Bit of a kerfuffle when you first start, keeping the colours untangled, but once you have done a few rows it becomes more natural and rhythmic. I tended to keep the colour I was using on the left and the two I wasn’t on my right, moving each colour once clockwise at each row end and there were no tangles :D.
I followed the designers advice by carrying my yarn at each row end.
I was concerned that I might not have enough yarn so I did a simple sc edging which I think looks just right.
