This is my second Vintage Throw.
I used a 6mm hook for my foundation chain as you need to work quite a few stitches into it for the first row. Thereafter used 5mm hook with this Aran yarn.
Had a limited amount of yarn so did it to the width I wanted for a single bed and it would be as long as I had the yarn for. This worked out to be a chain of 240.
I get 3 rows per ball of wool, and 8” per 10 row pattern. I expect (hope) therefore that it will end up 5’+ long.
UPDATE I followed the pattern exactly, but with thicker yarn and a bigger hook and finished size is 1.1m x 1.7m (42”x68”)
I’m loving the colours together. I was after a feeling of foxgloves and I think it captures that quite well.
