I used a heavier yarn weight (DK) and larger hook than the pattern calls for.

To me, the lace pattern A is very interesting both visually and as it’s being worked up.

Project Notes

• I used the 3.75mm hook for the back and front sections.
• I was concerned that the sleeves would be too wide at the elbow, so I did the first 8 rounds of Pattern 4 with a smaller 3.5mm hook.
• I also used the 3.5mm hook for the sleeve edging.

If I ever make this cardigan again, I would also go down a hook size for all the edging, since the front edge of the cardigan looks a little stretched.

Update (04/2020): I apparently stopped working on this in 2014, at the point where all I had left to do was attach the sleeves. I’m so pathetic.
