3/5 I had to frog it because I began my own charted stranded knit pattern incorrectly >_< but got it right the second time.
This is for the Round 2: Nerdology submission. I have a shirt that is Jayne from Firefly saying “You don’t pay me to talk pretty,” and we’re supposed to craft something inspired by an own-ed nerdy shirt. And this one’s got team spirit all over it. I chose to knit a bum flap featuring two phrases in Mandarin that Jayne uses over the course of the show, “cow sucking” and “baboon’s butthole” (to put it politely, if that’s possible). I also don’t get paid to talk pretty, so this happens to be one of my most worn shirts. I just hope I don’t offend anyone who may be able to actually read it.
3/27 Finished the knitting, just need to block and attach spring clips! And maybe a shrink plastic Firefly emblem…
5/22 With it sitting here not functioning, I need to re-envision this as a pillow. Maybe the back panel in rust color?…
