Notes

I am making this scarf in the same yarn as my granddaughter’s shawl. She was named after my daughter (her aunt). My daughter just happened to drop the little tidbit that green was her favorite color. So, I figure I will make her a scarf in the same color of yarn - to match!

I have been eyeballing this pattern for sometime now. I just love the look of it. Let’s see how it turns out.

This is going to be a Xmas present.

I am doubling the yarn - so, the estimate of yarn used is the max yardage listed on the pattern and then times 2. I have no idea how much yarn I am actually using.

I do believe this is an acrylic or nylon yarn. It should hold it’s shape well.

Confusing stitch symbols
I have been working on the Esmera Shawl for myself. I now find that the front/back post stitch symbols in THIS pattern are exactly the opposite from the Esmera Shawl.

I looked it up on the Craft Yarn Council site, just to be sure. Yep, this pattern is completely backwards. It’s going to be difficult to remember. But at least it will be consistent.

Whew, it’s only the post symbols in the legend that are reversed. The chart matches the written instructions. Thank Goodness!

Pattern calls for sport weight. I am using 2 strands of lace weight, probably fingering weight or so. My gauge is a bit smaller than the pattern, but I am fine with that. I love how it’s turning out.

I did 23 repeats. Each scallop along the edge is a pattern repeat.
