This is a size 10 bedspread thread.

This just looked like such a fun doily and yellow just had to be the color. The thread is actually kind of an ugly yellow but I think it will be okay when it is finished. Seems like this thread was just meant for this pattern.

i have some how run out of thread for this project. even though the pattern calls for 435 yards and i had 3 unopened balls that should have equaled 525 yards… something has gone amiss.

note: i have finished with an ecru thread and the next step will be my first attempt at dyeing. hopefully that will save the bees butts and we will have a very pretty doily when finished.

I learned that dying a single color doesn’t work unless you bleach it all out first. which i am not willing to do because i am concerned about the vintage thread being ruined by the bleach. so i will just have to make another to match my table cloth. this is a LOVELY pattern.
