Notes

Alix @itsafineline gave me some miniskeins back last summer. Semi solid sock weight, shades of brown, possibly BFL. They’re ideal for this.

Purple Ring A Rosie hand dyed eyes. So lush. Scrap of pale wheat coloured Ring A Rosie for muzzle.

This is a great pattern, so fun to knit.

Half done (to the end of the back increases Section 1, page 8) and I’ve already wound my 3rd miniskein. It’ll take 4, at a guess.

This morning in good northern window light, I sewed in his ends, filled all the funny little holes and made his beautiful face. That cheeky little sideways smile reminded me of someone.

Nose is 3 strands of Todd & Duncan fine lace cashmere from my scrappy bag, built up gently around the cast on. Philtrum and mouth are 2 strands but multiple stitches. Eyes were originally knit in purple high twist merino sock but with added black cashmere around and white cashmere highlights.

I’ve made half a jumper but it just doesn’t suit him. Biker jacket with my leftover ponte or a hoodie or both would suit his character better.

And I’ve wondered whether Tom Hardy has a nipple piercing. He’s certainly got some spectacular tattoos.

Hasn’t really taken 20 days to make, but he’s been telling me what he wants as accessories. I’ve got 2 different iterations of the jumper otn and bear, this particular bear doesn’t seem to want to wear them.

Bobble hat and long scarf seems to be it though. Still slightly anthropological, yeah still anthropological but is ok. Haven’t seen the nipples on yet. He is getting a ‘made with love’ neck thing. And that’s it.
