Looooove this Fidelio yarn I received from Yarnbox. It reminds me of beautiful blossoms in spring.
Casting on 70 small pegs on the MS loom.
29/3/25 - A kind little birdy brought to my attention that I may have to get more yarn to finish this project. So now I’m weighing up my options of getting more yarn, getting a bigger loom or reducing the amount of pegs I planned on using and making a much smaller shawl. Hmm, decisions.
30/3/15 - After consulting the lovely people in the Loom Knitting Ravelry group I’ve decided to reduce my number of pegs by 2 (from 72 to 70) and continue on in the hopes that I don’t run out of yarn. Looking at how much I’ve got left at the end of section one, I think I am going to run out.
I’ve asked Skeino if they’d be willing to ship yarn to me even though I’m out of their normal area. Fingers crossed.
Also added some progress pics showing the different elements of the shawl; the ruffles, the stockinette panel and the lace area. The lighting in my kitchen is terrible but that’s pretty much the only source of natural light in the house.
4/4/15 - Slooowly getting there. Have another skein winging it’s way to me. I have to hurry and finish this to free up the loom pieces for the three shawls I need to make for mothers day. :s
16/4/15 - Extra skein is finally here and I’m back into it. Slow going due to wrist pain and sadly I dont think I’ll get it done and blocked before my god-daughters birthday party on the 19th. But the end is in sight and with how the weather is turning I cant wait to wear this shawl!
17/4/15 - Rushed the end, which I regret a little as it looks a bit wonky, and finished it. On the blocking mats now. May have given it a bit too much of a spritz but hopefully it’ll dry in time. Photos to come, etc etc.
