This is my first sweater. With the upcoming move and busy summer I am giving myself plenty of time to make this hoping to be done just when it will come into handy for fall.

Summer has kept me busy! I made swatches a couple months ago and finally casted on last night 7/14/2013. So far so good. I am knitting the size large since I am using smaller needles (8’s). I wanted a tighter knit. The one thing I am noticing is this yarn tends to split.

12/24/2013 - Focus on this project was sketchy then I finally set my mind to it mid-novemberish. Tonight I have it blocking. Searching for buttons will commence next week and then it should be done I hope before 2014!

Pattern: I really enjoyed this pattern. The instructions where clear and where I ran into challenges the Ravelry community pulled through with many project notes and forum posts.
Yarn: I’m not too pleased with the yarn. It was not bad to knit with, it was soft and smooth but it would split more often than other yarns I have worked with. I also ran into a lot of spliced connections through-out the yarn and I noticed it’s already a bit peely after just one wash for blocking. This is a case of you get what you pay for. I would use this yarn again for smaller projects, but not a sweater.
