12/24/2013 - Made swatch to ensure gauge. Gauge is perfect with recommended needle size and yarn. Plan to cast these on after the new year.

1/3/2014 - Cast on for first mitt and I should have it done with the first mitt today 1/6/2014. I am at the thumb now. Couple new techniques I incorporated are one; Cable without a Needle I think a cable needle would be too cumbersome on this small project so I found these videos to cable without a needle She has two videos for back and front, very helpful, I am really enjoying this technique. Two; 2x2 Invisible Ribbed Bind off. I wanted a bind off that would not flare out like the traditional 2x2 rib bind off and I settled on this one. It seems like a lot at first but once I got into a rhythm it was not too bad.

1/13/2014 Finished my second mitt and both mitts are drying now. I really enjoyed this project, easy to follow and a quick knit. Doing the 2x2 Invisible Ribbed Bind off again, I’m really on the fence if I like this technique. There seems to be a lot of steps and I cannot watch TV or hold a conversation while I do this bind off without losing track of where I am.
