Bought at the K & W Knitter’s Fair on 09/12/09
** We’re pretty sure the yarn is Red Heart … and it’s knotting like WHOA. I’m also making mistakes in my knitting (as I’m knitting it flat) but thankfully a wonderful friend and fellow knitter is there to help!
01/12/10 -- I found my needles to knit this in the round! Oh, thankfully! Will have to sew half of it together, but the rest of the scarf will be MUCH easier to do!
06/15/10 - I do want to finish this project, being my first since I picked up knitting in November - however, due to some of the yarn being tangled beyond WHOA it’s on hold until I untangle it, or send the yarn away to be unknotted for me.
07/14/11 - I don’t remember exactly when I finished knitting it, but it’s been off the needles for awhile. With HP8 opening in theatres tomorrow, I felt the real push today to finish seaming it and be able to wear it.
Of course, there are so many mistakes and such in this project … and I love it more than words can say. It was because of this project I started knitting and fell in love. What would my life be without Harry Potter knits! ^_~
I did try to put fringe on this … but no matter which way I added them, I just didn’t like how it looked. Maybe another project when I’m a bit better with the technique.
Finished length: 67”
