Claire’s mum wants a shawl for her cruise, Claire is allergic to mohair so I said I’d make it!

I’m making this as a flat stole rather than a circular shawl.

I knit the first row, just to give it structure

If you’re knitting this flat, learn to ‘read’ your knitting as the stitches move about!

Instead of doing the border specified and sewing it on, I didn’t cast off but added the knitted on border from The Cap Shawl

If I was going to make this again - and I wouldn’t, there are better patterns for a medallion lace - I would probably cast on more stitches, 216 is fine for the tube version, but comes up a bit short as a flat stole.
