Mum made Wee Man a hat, but it’s too big, so I made him this one

I’m knitting this as it’s written - the only differences I’m making are: im working the ribbing in 2x2 and I’m switching to reverse stocking stitch every 5 rows.

Just hope it fits

It didn’t fit so I have frogged it and cast on again, but added 20 sts.

Have put aside 28 sts for the face

Worked 73 rows

When it was time to work the short rows, I knit to the middle + 10 sts, then I turned and worked 20 sts. Then I worked back and forth on 20 sts.

I switched to 3mm needles, picked up all the way around (I didn’t bother breaking yarn and rejoining). Then I decreased about 8 sts on row 1 of 2x2 rib
