9/13/10 ekt: 10pm
Finally going to use up the cashmere and make this for my mom. The yarn knits up like a dream, I’m so in love with it!

According to another knitter who used this yarn for this pattern, I’ll be able to complete 27 repeats of this pattern.

On that note, one down…26 to go!

9/14/10 ekt: 3am
Technically it isn’t day two because day one started at about 10pm and it is only 3am. I’m about halfway done with the scarf. I had one section giving me issues, but it was my BF distracting me that caused me to knit the same row twice. I had to rip back until the rows matched up.

As for getting 27 repeats, I don’t see this happening. I have maybe 10 or less repeats, probably closer to eight and I’m halfway through the yarn. At this point I’m worried that it will be more of a scarflette than a scarf!

I am hopeful that once blocked, the length will increase enough for my mom to at least wrap it somehow around her neck. Otherwise I’ll have to get creative with a button or pin to keep it in place.

9/14/10 ekt: 10pm
Okay now it is 10pm on this day and I’ve been busy doing laundry so I haven’t had much time to knit this. When I did try, the BF decided to interrupt as much as possible, therefore causing me to miss stitches and have to rip and re-knit again…and again. I have about 1/4 yarn left and have completed 13 pattern repeats. I hope to get at least two more before knitting the last few garter stitch rows.

I’ve also uploaded new pictures. The first shows the colors best. This yarn is like a dark burgundy with bright red accents. My lightening sucks atm but when I finish this off tomorrow, there will be photos of me modeling in the daylight.

9/14/10 ekt 11:59pm
DONE! I rang in at fifteen repeats with 11 yards left over…yes we have a yard stick and I measured. I’m sure that I could have gotten another repeat, but I’m always hesitant to go the distance when my yarn is running low.

The final scarf, unblocked is long enough for me to stretch-wrap this around my neck and have one end over my shoulder and the other hanging in front. I’ll have to block this, somehow, overnight. I don’t know where because the only space I have is our master bed and well, I’m on it all night.
