Both soles are complete! I had to rip back half of the second sole due to inaccurate counts, but overall a very quick crochet.

I counted, counted, and counted for the stitch marker positions. Like measure twice, cut once? Us crafters should follow the same methodology.

I’m making the small size so each sole has 96 stitches around. 48 for the toe and 48 for the heel. The markers are stitches 1 and 48 of the heel.

• TOE: the 8 top stitches and 20 stitches down each side.
• HEEL: marker, 20 stitches down side, 6 on bottom, 20 stitches other side, marker.

Time for some HDC madness!

Right boot is complete! I’m happy with how it turned out but the Left Boot will be better.

I haven’t crocheted in a very long time but since I can no longer knit I have gone back to my roots.

Don’t get me wrong, I prefer knitted projects in look and design but I cannot bear the pain that comes with it.

As such I made a lot of mistakes on the first boot; however I plan on learning from those and making the Left Boot even better.

Left Boot complete!

This is fast and easy if you do it all in one shot, at least sole, body, cuff each completed in one sitting.

I thought I had buttons that’d work, but I need to purchase some. I haven’t wove all the ends in either; but sans finishing this is done!

I probably won’t knit adult versions again unless specifically requested but I do plan on knitting the baby version as the adults were only intended to be practice for such.

I’ve learned enough to make them on a smaller scale and likewise should be able to better read my crochet as a result.
