Body of shawl great for easy crocheting but the edging requires full attention. Would be easier if had been charted.

10/4 Need a coat of looking at swatches after coffee to see which would suit best; 4.5mm has lovely drape but 4mm closer to pattern gauge.

11/4 After starting 2x, realized that my gauge was off because of larger starting hook and I crochet looser with a larger foundation chain.

Restarting using 4.5mm/US 7 hook for foundation chain and 4mm hook for body with a foundation chain of 97sts to give 94st. Close to correct gauge at 66cm. Phew!

Finished central pane; 66 rows = 66cm

10/5 Starting on the border. Set up round, 92 sc instead of 112. 376sts

29/6 Finally finished. Highly recommend using lockable stitch markers on previous row to ID where the new (current row) wave will be.
