Starting this hat with a ribbed brim, and a deadline of one week to get it done before my brother-in-law’s birthday. I have a stretch goal of completing two hats by then, but let’s see how the first one goes.

Did six repeats of the cable pattern, then began the decreases.

NOTE: DO NOT USE THE DECREASE SECTION IN THE PATTERN. IT MAKES A POINTY TOP. Or, make crown shorter.

After Row 5, begin decreasing every row:
