Notes

Using 16” cable.

CO 84 using the provisional CO method - CO with crochet hook on the knitting needle.

I named my cowl the Martha’s Vineyard Cowl because the clean & classic colors of these mini skeins are reminiscent of the Kennedy era…anchored in long standing traditions and American legacy. The perfect project for vacation knitting! The Lighthouse photo was taken by me on Martha’s Vineyard in Edgartown.

Took the following info from my first Lila Cowl project page:

I found these two videos by Lion Brand helpful for understanding the RLI and LLI increases.

The stitch count and pattern repeat reads as follows:

RLI (2 total stitches = knit the new stitch, PLUS knit the existing stitch), k1, LLI (1 new stitch = knit the new loop), k4, s2kp (1 total stitch = 2 slipped stitches over a knit st), k5. The repeat of 14 sts = 84 stitches total.

When working the RLI, keep in mind that once the new stitch is created, the original existing stitch (where the new stitch was created from) also needs to be knit but is not to be considered the k1 between the RLI and LLI.

The best Kitchener in the round video can be found here.
