Someone has decided she neeeeeds warm woolly socks for school camp. After a questionable attempt to darn some other thick socks I came to conclusion that it would be, in fact, quicker to just knit some new socks for her. Using this old stash yarn held double on larger needles for some nice thick socks. I’m liking the effect of the colours being blended together.

Let it be known that I knit an entire sock plus the heel of the other one in a single day!!!

Gauge is 6 sts per inch.
So, I cast on 12 sts using Judy’s magic cast on. Increases every 2nd round until 22 sts per needle.
Haven’t yet decided if I will do a slip st heel or an afterthought heel. I have 3 days to get these done! eeek
Heel: pick up sts, knit across picking up 2 sts in corners, knit 2 rounds then shaping as follows: k1, ssk, k to last 3, k2tog, k1, repeat on other needle then knit one round plain. Until 12 sts remain on each needle.

Cuff, k 2x2 rib for 10 rounds then BO
