This pattern contains a chart which I hadn’t realised. I can read charts, although this one left a couple bits up to the user in how to interpret for the start of a few rows - not the stitches to use, they were very clear, but where you were to place them, or how to get to where they wanted you to place them. There were a couple of rows I was seriously considering tying off and joining again. :/

It’s a gorgeous pattern, however, and I love it.

In the final section in the decrease rows, the round 6 is decrease using every 8th and 9th stitch - or more sensibly, (DC 7, decrease) repeat to end, join with slip stitch. 88

I found that that was too big, even though I have a big head, hook tight and was using slightly finer yarn. So I did an extra decrease row, taking it down to 77 stitches.

(DC 6, decrease) repeat to end, join with slip stitch.

Then I just did rows 8-10 dc each stitch, instead of 7-10.

For the double stranded reverse single crochet, I didn’t tie off and rejoin, I just pulled from the other end of the yarn and hid the end as I went. I did find, however, that as it is thicker, it wanted to curl outwards. :(
