Cast on 3.00mm (2x needle sizes down) and work rib on these needles

Didn’t make row gauge, so adjusted as below:
BACK:
Ribbing: 20 rows
Main body (after rib, before decreases): 130 rows, with edge binds offs on row 130
For decreases:
3-1-28
1-1-10
1 RE (stst)
B/O 40 - Jenny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off (https://youtu.be/pXwL2OUvUiY)
(95 rows in total + b/o row)
FRONT:
Main body (after rib, before decreases): 130 rows, with edge binds offs on row 130
For outer edge:
3-1-27
1-1-4
1 RE
For neckline:
Bind off 24 @ row 64
3-3-1
3-1-5
5 RE
(86 rows in total)
SLEEVES:
Ribbing: 20 rows
Increases were supposed to be:
9-1-20
2 rows even
But I got up to 41 after 13 increases so simply knit even to 178 rows total.
Decreases were worked:
ON RIGHT HAND SIDE (reversed for left)
3-1-28
2 RE
2-17-1
2-4-2
2 RE
(84 rows and 8 rows = 92 rows)
ON LEFT HAND SIDE (reversed for left)
3-1-25
6-1-3
2 RE
(92 rows)

When I say this is a labour of love. I love this jumper so much. The pattern knits out so beautifully and I’m in love with the yarn I’ve picked.
But the maths of reworking the Japanese pattern? Making decreases and increases work on a pattern that laces like this. Resizing. Resizing to fit row gauge
Not for the faint of heart

Realised I’ve been making this so much harder on myself than I needed. I’ve been working it as a three stitch repeat (yo, k1, k2tog or ssk) when it should’ve been a simple 2 stitch repeat (y/o, k2tog or ssk)
Deep breaths. We’ve done a whole body and back and half the sleeves. The fabric looks beautiful as is, so I’m going to run with it and see how it comes out now…
That’ll teach this newbie for trying to run before he can walk. Have learnt a lot though, and you know I would remake this knit now

To future self 3-1-28 means every 3 rows decrease 1 and do that 28 times, and so on…

Neck was 10 rows. Bind off in Jenny’s Surprisingly Stretchy.
(Would do tubular next time)

It’s a little snug and a little short, so we’ll do some weaving and then block aggressively (with fingers crossed) and see what happens!
But this is only the second sweater I’ve ever knit. I’m looking at this and can’t believe I did it. Imperfections and all.

This project is all done expect for weaving. BUT… I knit the entire pattern wrong. The fabric is beautiful still but where I had to adjust from a 2 stitch repeat to a 3 stitch and dealing with row gauge has left some horribly obvious seams on the arms. Its ’muscle fit’ which I didn’t want, and I don’t think blocking is going to help enough to fix it.
What I might do, is redo this whole project in a different yarn. If that works out then I will frog this and turn the yarn into a nice T-shirt instead. For now it’s in the naughty corner
