I got basically finished with this but was so unhappy with so many little things I’ve taken a deep breath. Ripped it out. And I’m starting again.
Lessons learnt. Practice had. Let’s go. My Dad deserves something lush to wear.

Before beginning short rows:
Knit one round
Purl one round

The wrap and turns on this gave me the biggest headache. Like others I just couldn’t get them neat on the purl side no matter what I tried.

I changed to German short rows and it’s so much neater for me.

My Dad is happy with this but there’s just something about this jumper I don’t like; perhaps the garter stitch overall? The short rows still give me nightmares. Nice enough but I personally won’t be rushing to knit it again. Some nice practice though and my favourite colour combination with the green through the ribbing.
