There are 120 yds to a 100 gm skein which is the version I used.

I’m knitting this baby blanket because my daughter’s friends have adopted a 17 month old girl. They would appreciate something hand knit so my daughter asked if I would knit for them. We went shopping together and this was the yarn she picked.

The texture wouldn’t make it worth doing any pattern stitches so why fight it. It was a mindless project which was perfect for daydreaming and thinking loving thoughts.

I increased until I used 2.5 balls then started my decreases.

The blanket was quite warm in my lap and the yarn is cuddly and squishy. I’m tempted to knit one for me to cuddle with this winter.

Update: I received a lovely thank you note. It seems Leah will not sleep unless she has this blanket with her in bed. I’m so glad she likes it.
