Notes

Looking at the finished project I thought I would start with seed stitch to make a lower and upper edge. Like it! Four rows of seed stitch.

With bulky yarn it’s important to connect the skeins as seamlessly as possible. Went online and chose the braiding method. So far I like how it’s working.

I couldn’t get all the same color lot so I got half of one dye lot and half of another. The Afghan calls for working with 2 skeins at the same time so I’m using one from each Dye lot. This seems to work out perfectly!

Lucked out and found the two dye lots I used at Walmart. Yeayyyyy! I took the pattern’s advice and am using a mini laundry basket to keep the yarn separated, running the yarn through the side of the basket.

So I let my girlfriend know about the donation and she said did you make it in baby blue…….dang! I thought of this when I was 75%…this is to raise scholarship money in the name of a student who went to school with my son. He died in a car accident on his way to his baseball practice spring of he senior year. Baby blue was his color. I,m going to the store tomorrow for blue yarn.

Can I make another one in three weeks… I hope so!
