Notes

Talk about a quick project, done in almost three weeks. I modified the Undulating Waves scarf pattern by eliminating the beading and widening it to shawl proportions. I wanted something quick but a little more patterned than the simple K3-P3 shawls I have been pumping out since last year, and I picked up an online deal on his 100% Merino hand-dyed wool through Craftsy a couple of months ago. Using size 10 needles, this pattern really popped on this yarn, one of my favorite things in knitting, watching a simple single strand of yard turn into a nice thick texture, knitting magic! Unlike a lot of yarn-over patterns, though, this one works both sides (not just a simple purl on the wrong side), so I had to do a bit of correcting and even frogged once. But very happy with the result. Maybe I’ll try making the beaded scarf version with the two skeins I have left, though I’m a little sick of green. Not my favorite color.
