I don’t usually go in for variegated yarns but the alpaca-silk blend (and the sale price through one of the online places I’m subscribed to) sold me on at least trying it. I altered the original pattern, as I had previously, by leaving out the beading and adding one of my favorite shawl edges to either side. Both ends are scalloped in a very pretty way naturally and the texture of the shawl and the stitch makes the peacock-feather quality of the yarn color really pop. Plus, super super yummy soft. I’m happy!
