Notes

This pattern is the first I can say that I myself personally created. I took the border patterns from Georgina Bow’s Solace, which is one of my favorite all-time shawl patterns--the interesting 7-stitch edging and the 17-stitch fountain pattern--and instead of repeating the upward-facing fountain five times across, I thought it would be fun to invert the fountain for the second and fourth repeats to create an alternating up-down pattern across the bulk of the shawl. The size 8 needles are really perfect for this yarn, producing a beautiful light airy lacy effect and the bounce and flow of the shawl is amazing. I usually make these shawls for my sister’s prayer ministry but this is the first shawl I’ve made that I’m actually so happy with that I’m thinking I might sell it. It looks so beautiful and professional.
